Meeting Types
Jun 3, 2025
Meeting Types is a feature in Product Forge that helps users classify their recurring and one-off meetings to ensure they achieve the best possible outcomes. This classification allows users to organize meetings effectively and tailor their processes to the specific goals of each meeting type.
Types of Meetings
Refinement
Refinement meetings are designed to help teams focus on improving or detailing specific ideas, products, or workflows. These meetings typically involve discussions around prioritization, breaking down tasks, and ensuring clarity. Refinement meetings differ from others in their emphasis on precision and actionable outcomes.
Stand Up
Stand Up meetings are short, recurring meetings where team members share updates, discuss blockers, and align on priorities. These meetings are highly structured and time-efficient, making them distinct from other meeting types that may allow for more in-depth discussions.
Customer Research
Customer Research meetings focus on gathering insights directly from customers. These meetings are essential for understanding user needs, validating ideas, and improving products or services. They differ from other meetings in their focus on external input rather than internal collaboration.
Generic
The Generic meeting type serves as a fallback for any meeting that does not fit into the other categories. This type is versatile and can be used for a variety of one-off or specialized discussions. Unlike the other meeting types, Generic meetings are not tied to a specific purpose or structure.
Each meeting type has been crafted to align with distinct objectives, ensuring that users can optimize their workflows and achieve better meeting outcomes.
